Calling all 1680 experts
Hello all. Fairly new to the collecting game. A dealer that I have bought from before said he came across a chocolate 1680. Here are some pics:
Can anyone tell me about this watch? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. |

From what I see it's a nice meters first chocolate dial red sub. Nice.
Check the serial #, it should be in the early to mid 2 mill range. The inside caseback is probably stamped in the year '69. I have one just like it and love it. 1.69, 2.222 serial. That one looks like a great specimen. If the price is right buy it. |

It is a 2.2 mill serial number. Can I ask advice on a fair price on the public forum? Or should I ask for a private message about that? I'll wait to hear from an Admin.

Looks to be a 9315 bracelet. I'm assuming endlinks are 280 or 380. Any history/last know service/box&paper also might factor into valuation. |

Truthfully- if it was a true chocolate aka tropical you'd be paying a lot more. The dial does not look like a chocolate to me at all. But- I see so many calling slightly lighter/ charcoal dials tropical as well as water damaged junk dials! Just my opinion- here is what a tropical dial looks like...Again- just my take- do with it what you'd like...
