My first 1655

This my first 1655.
estimated year 1973-1974
serial 3,8mln...

This MK1 or MK2?? Any idea?

Wicked 1655. Big Congrats!!

Looks like a early Straight hand editionwith a Mk1 dial, and Mk2 bezel.
No worries, she is exceptional. Very nice.

It's mean maybe dial or bezel changed?

From that picture, I can't tell if it is a MkI or a MkII dial. It kind of looks like a "frog foot", but the picture is pretty small. I agree the bezel is a Mk II bezel. It is not uncommon to see MkI dials with Mk II bezels and vice versa. Straight seconds hands can appear on both. Here is a link to one of the best write ups on vintage Explorer II's.

Yes, if you said bezel MK II, the dial also same.. I look the frog foot same with MKII description, more big than MK1......

Is it right watch to collect? Some of my friends they said better collect red sub than 1655. Right?

Collect what you like. I think many of those who consider themselves to be collectors currently own or have owned one or both in the past. Each reference is a unique treasure for sure.
