AP ROOD on bracelet...
I finally got round to whacking the ROOD on a bracelet and am delighted with the results...

Awesome. I didn't know you could do that. I just got the diver. How much was the bracelet? Did you change the strap yourself?

I think ROO on bracelet looks better than on leather. Just me... love the ROOD.

Great modification. A quick swap back to a strap and you've got another "new" watch.
I did the same thing with a UN maxi marine diver. |

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I'm not sure how much the bracelet costs new - I bought mine pre-owned from another site and it was a lot of money, but I suspect a good bit less than new from AP. If anyone knows what they cost new I'd be interested to hear.

That's interesting as I heard they were actually about $3,250 USD. Either way I'm very glad I got mine pre-owned at what I thought was a ridiculous price but turns out to be fairly acceptable!

Looks fantastic! Regarding the cost of ordering a bracelet, I'm honestly surprised folks are reporting it as low as it is. (I assumed the current cost from AP would be over $4K) While its bound to be among the most expensive bracelets you'll ever source, there's really little dispute that the RO and ROO bracelets are simply the finest in existence. The level of craftsmanship, the construction, subtle finishing details, solidity...in short, everything...are more what you'd expect on a fine piece of jewelry, than a mere watch bracelet. (And yet, they're still amazingly strong)
Runners up for "finest bracelet" might be the those on the closely-related Patek Philippe Nautilus series and maybe the Blancpain X-71, but even then...I still think the AP RO(0) comes out on top here as a benchmark of "absolute quality". Again, beautiful Diver! Best, Adam |
