Just made the jump... Got my 1st Rolex!!
After college, my financial advisor asking me what goals I wanted to reach & near the top of that list was owning a Rolex. After years of working, being a husband/father, & basically getting life's priorities in order, there really never seemed to be a "good time" to fulfill this goal. But after careful consideration, consulting my better half & realizing that the prices are rising past my reasonable threshold I made the jump!
I frequented TRF & other forums daily to make sure I picked "the" Rolex that represented this milestone in my life. I first leaned towards the "Coke" GMT as I truly admired the "Pepsi" my uncle owned during my college days. I did more research & changed my decision to the 16610LV & was about to make a purchase until I read more about the 116610LV. The green gold dial, maxi markers, ceramic bezel, rehaut enscriture I loved the whole idea behind it. After a few weeks of ordering my 116610LV from an AD, I finally got it! Even though I never saw the "7up" Sub in the flesh & took the "gamble" & fell in love with it at first sight. It kept with the soda can mantra & is unique in its own special way. I sincerely want to thank all the folks here for the great info that helped me in reaching a decision & making my 1st Rolex memorable. |
