Hi all,

New member here (joined a couple of weeks ago) and am on the hunt for my first Rolex. I'm 27 and am employed by one of the Fortune 100 companies in the Bay area as a Marketing Manager. I love what I do... I manage ad agencies to create both above and below the line Marketing- everything from Television ads, to social media, to you name it.

The only "real" watch that I own right now is a Movado Esperanza. I bought it two years ago to celebrate getting hired full-time after my MBA internship. At the time, it was $1k, which was a huge chunk of money at the time for a broke MBA grad to spend.

Now... fast forward two years later... I'm ready to buy a "serious" watch. I know I'm not going to be happy with anything but a Rolex, so I'm saving up. Trying to make my mind up on either a classic Submariner or a Datejust from the forums (potential budget is anywhere from 3-5.5k, depening upon what I see).

I'd love to buy my first one from an Authorized dealer, but I took a walk around Valley Fair here in the Bay Area and bottom line is it's way out of my price range to buy new for my first Rolex. So... I'm keeping my eyes on the forum every day. :) Also have done my research and saw that BernardWatch is acceptable, as is a few others in used Rolexes. But, I'm still wary of buying online.

Anyway- that's me. I drive a Camaro Z28 (hence the name Camarodude) and am pumped to join the world of Rolex owners ASAP.
