Need help!! GMT 16700

Hi guys! I just bought a 16700 wich I was looking for for at least 3 months! Now I've found it i'm in a hughe doubt. The one I bought is an U9XXX61 serial number, it has the SEL bracelet BUT the bezel is not bidirectional, the bracelet number is AD3 78790A and it has the SWISS. Is it a Frankenstein or can I trust it? I still don't have the papers and box... There you go a picture. Sorry for the quality os it...
insert.

Moved from the Reference Library...

Your GMT is just fine.. It has a Luminova dial and is one of the last made.. The U serial puts it into the 98/99 time-frame of the last 16700's, and the "Swiss" dial confirms that as they were only put on in the same time-frame..

Your bracelet is a later SEL and the AD3 date code puts it in ~2003, but it may have been added at a later date or during a service.. It is a perfectly acceptable upgrade..

Nice looking watch.. I'm not sure what doubts you would have.....

Great-looking watch!! Are you sure the bezel is not bi-directional??

I love the quickset date on the 16700. For some reason, these don't seem to get the love they deserve. Congrats on your purchase

They normally turn anti-clockwise a little easier than clockwise. It's just the nature of the clickspring. Give it a go. I thought mine was uni-directional at first. If it won't budge in the clockwise direction it could have a Submariner click spring.

Nice watch by the way. I'd be very happy with it. Also, your "problem" could be down to some crap being trapped beneath the bezel preventing the click spring from functioning fully. I'd suggest you get a friendly watchmaker to take a look what's under there. They should do this for free. Either way; Crap under there or wrong click spring. It'll only be pennies to sort out. You might even be abe to put a bend in the spring to make it function as a GMT one should...
