WG Daytona
Hey All,
If I were to buy a white gold daytona on a leather strap would I subsequently be able to buy a white gold bracelet (if i decided I didnt like the strap)? I've never seen a white gold bracelet sold separately (either new or used). If so, does anyone know how much the bracelet would roughly cost? Thanks! |

The metal bracelet (Gold or SS) will not fit a leather strap model...They use a different shaped midcase and connect using a different endlink!
Not to mention, if you could source a solid gold bracelet, you'd be looking in the order of 10K!

In the USA a WG bracelet from Rolex is around us$16k as per USA price list. And it will not fit a strap WG Daytona. I know because I have one! However, if you are a handyman and know your way with tools, nothing can stop you from modifying an original Rolex bracelet or the watch itself to make it work. Very risky and personally I wouldnt in any way modify the watch or bother.

There are aftermarket ones made just for the strap watches, they run about $5.5k.

I asked the same thing a while ago and the answer was no.
Here is my thread on the subject and it goes into a little more detail regarding your question. http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=176807 |
