Question- GMT Master 1675 clasp numbers???

Just discovered that My GMT Master, M#1675 "pepsi" is a '61. The bracelet also has 61 stamped on the clasp. Above it is the number 1. Does anyone know what this number 1 signifies? Thanks.

It's the quarter manufacture date ...

A 1/61 date code tells you the bracelet was manufactured in the first quarter of 1961.

The date code on an original bracelet will be similar to the date code on the watch's case-back. Not always exactly the same but close

Thanks Guys. I've had this watch for quite sometime now and really didn't realize what I had! Would you believe I bought it at a yard sale? They apparently didn't know either. Serial number 6769XX. From what I have read it appears to be somewhat rare.

Really? Is it that rare? Though I already treasured it, I will certainly treasure it that much more.
