A few newbie questions on my 1680 red

Hi guys, still admiring my recently acquired red:). A few newbie questions that might sound silly;),
1) Is it possible to wind the watch and if so how do I know when winding is done? I tried unscrewing it and then turning clockwise, doesn't seem to stop.
2) How long should the watch run for if left untouched and without winding? How long if left with winding?
2) Do you use that stuff called polywatch regularly to clean your watch?

Cheers

Polywatch is for cleaning fine scratches off plastic crystals.
It's not meant for SS cleaning.

40 turns of the crown is sufficient for a full wind. Winding more than this will not harm your watch but is pointless to do so as your mainspring is fully tensioned at the 40 turns!
Your watch after a full wind should run for 44/48 hours left untouched!
A manual wind every second day will only top up your power reserve and keep it in the optimal power curve.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for clearing that up Rob. The watch is to be wound when I unscrew the crown from lockdown position, right?..I then just turn it clockwise, correct?

Yes...
1st position after un-screwing is to wind(clockwise), 2nd position is to set the date and the final position is for setting the time!

Although your Sub won't have a 3rd position, as there is no quick set on the 1570
