Do jewelry stores make sure all rolex watches are 100% authentic before selling them?

My wife and myself went to woodberry commons the other day (a outlet mall in upstate ny) and I saw a sign for certified pre-owned rolex so I went in to look at what they had and to kill some time. They had 4 rolex watches 2 date just 1 day date and a yacht master. What struck me odd was that both the date just looked odd. The date window did not magnify the date at all where the day date did. Do all date just have 2.5x on the date? I would not think that a high end diamond store would be selling fakes or maybe fake crystals?
