Bob Ridley(Barbra) received my 2 watches today
Sweated all night hoping FEDEX wouldn't screw it up. Sent the 2 ROLEXES over night for 10:30am delivery, got there about 9:30am. I have a phone consultation with him tomorrow to go over everything, totally excited about it. Hope he can do both mods, I sent the GMT ITc without really talking to him about the date wheel change.
Asked him about the PCL on the GMT II and what he thought about brushing them out. He really didn't seem to think it was a smart move, but he said whatever I wanted him to do, he would accommodate me. So I guess I have a decision to make and I don't really know what to do... Any thoughts on the brushing the PCL, I'm all ears FWIW..on the FEDEX box I wrote "damaged computer parts" so nobody would think it was anything of value. It came to 3 pounds with all the bubble wrap. He does not like those styro peanuts, they get all over the place he said.

Always good to hear when something like that makes it to its intended destination. I take it the shipment was guranteed and insured??
I have the GMTIIC and don't see the PCL being such a big problem. I would leave it the way it is.

You know I used to dislike PCL very much, and heard it was very scratch prone. Then j actually owned a GMT II C and realized this watch actiall needs PCL... They go very well together :)

Dan, it was covered by my own insurance for full value. I called them 3 times to double check, it's all covered during shipment only, once it gets to the destination it's not covered. But it's in good hands with Mr. Ridley, no question about that.
Thank you Mark

If you brush it and then you decide you don't like it, you'll have to repolish the pcls in the future and then it might look warped!

I've done it few times Mark and it looks great just make sure that they are keepers as it will limit you to few buyers if when reselling them but other then that build them the way you like them

I like PCL's.
I have PCL's on my Milgauss and think it looks great, not bothered about scratches as they'll be polished out when serviced. However, my daily beater is a Sub-C therefore any scratches wouldn't show as much. I agree that you should leave as it is and if later on you want them brushed then fine. I'd leave them though IMO. |

You have a classy watch with a touch of bling. Leave the PCL's alone
