One in and One out

Just the other day I was thinking that it had been awhile since I have done anything with my collection. Then the bug hit me, so I made a slight change and here's why: I wanted to add pieces that I felt were "iconic or classic" models that I would enjoy wearing and keeping for a long time while moving out watches that see little or no wrist time. So here is what I did:

I realized I just wasn't a TT guy anymore (funny how tastes change over time -loved it when I bought it then never wore it) so I sold my Rolex 16613, and I bought a Rolex 16710 GMT Master II Pepsi. With the ability to swap out the bezel inserts I now have several different looking watches in one! And yes I bought 2 other inserts, black and coke for variety. I also gained the GMT functionality which I happen to use since I travel for work frequently.

A big thanks to DavidSW for making this happen. He is a great guy to deal with and I am very pleased with the outcome.

Since I know everyone likes pics (better pics coming after I get it into my light tent over the weekend) here you go:

Rolex 16613 - Out

Rolex 16710 - In

Congrats, Drew !!!
Love them both. 16710 is my all time favorite and Bluesy I had to sell it to fund my 312. I wish I could have kept it.

That smiling cutie on your avatar is yours ? Could you post some pics?

Although I have always kind of liked the look of the Bluesy, I really like the GMTII and the Pepsi look a lot better. Besides like you said you have more options with additional inserts this way. That is exactly why I just purchased one.

Congrats, great looking watch.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone! I appreciate it. After wearing the GMT around the office today, I can now say for certain I made the right move with no regrets. This is a very comfortable watch on the wrist while also being very good looking! Now I am just wondering why I didn't do this sooner?

To PanosI - Thanks for your comments about the smiling cutie on my avatar, its my dog Cody. That pic was snapped when he was only 3 months old. Since you asked, here are a few of him now, a year later.

Enjoy. Drew

Notice the band? Yes, I had on my IWC Portuguese 5001 that day!

That looks great... what a great idea to switch the bracelet and still enjoy a great watch!
