The R stands for Rolex.

I imagine you're paying quite a bit of money for this watch. Is it possible (read reasonable) for you to see the watch in person? Meet at an AD? If I was unsure about seller and couldn't see the watch, I'd skip it before I'd throw 15k-20k down the toilet.

I am going to look at it before I buy it
However, its a long journey so did not want a wasted trip I just panicked a bit as I read somewhere that when the style number starts with an 'R' it is sometimes a fake |
