Icon12 my new (to me) heuer bund ( german military) issue chrono!

Just picked this up and have been is discussion with an expert on these and he is certain it is all original. I was mostly worried about the dial being redone or refurbished but he says the 3H is 'Bang on' and that my cut font ( numbers cut round subdials) is a rarer configuration. i have the scans of original manual too with all corresponding numbers etc. Was originally issued to the Bundeswehr (specifically German pilots ) and this one was in 1972.
anyway enjoy

Jules, its a German guy who lives in coffs Harbour. Watchdealer who gets them from Germany. He is able to get his hands on a few every year and gets them for a fair price so sells them for aboout 50-60% of what they go for in the USA I thought i woudl try it and get it checked out as he is legitimate. He still has one similar left, with a different dial variation.
If you wnat to know nmore just send me a PM

Great vintage find! I love the bi-compax setup. Old Heuers are really something else. (Before they went and formed that god awful "Tag Heuer" brand)

Looks great Chris....
You're really delving into the vintage as of late!

Did you take the 6 hour driver up to Coffs, or have it shipped, and does this guy have a brick and morta store in Coffs??

Because of this special tritium dial, the dial has a red 3H in a red circle, the German military symbol for tritium (3-H, an isotope of hydrogen). There are a few standard issues without obviously but all issued ones shoudl have it ( there are a few exceptions)
sure will do mate
