Back to coke

2001 GMT-MASTER II
Pretty beat up, huh?
Everyday for 10 years
The watch maker said the black bezel insert that was on it, was "glued on". He didn't know anything about the glue.
Pretty funny since he's the one who put the black one on in the first place.
Needless to say, he won't be working on my watches again, last time he service my watch he put a SUB click on the bezel on it only rotated one way. That turned into a big argument with me telling him how a GMT is suppose to be bi-directional.

Great watch store, great discounts, mo more working on my watches though.

Looks good.

Too bad they don't have clue as to what they are doing with yours or anyone elses watches. But on the bright side at least you know that.

I don't know, probably, FN watch maker. I'm too pissed off to look right now.

I'd be hugely pissed too. I hope you find a genuine watchmaker soon.

Last month I had a similar experience with a watchmaker "trainee." I wanted a different OEM bezel installed on my SMP and he ruined the original and mint bezel and couldn't quite correctly install the new bezel. He did right by me though and had the master watchmaker install the new bezel and ordered me a BNIB OEM bezel, polished my watch and bracelet (which I didn't ask for) and didn't charge me at all. I just don't think I can go back to that shop again.

We must be very careful when taking our possessions in for service. Reputation says a lot, but still, one never knows--sadly.

Just remember people make mistakes all of the time, however it is what how they address them when it occurs that defines what kind of person they are.

Sounds like the same shop would also recognize when the newbie should be allowed to make mistakes and learn and when they should not.

You actually could do alot worse.

The glue thing Mark refferenced is an entirely different type of thing.

I'm a very forgiving person, to a fault. But come on, glue on the back of my bezel insert, am I missing something here ?

F me once, shame on you, do it again shame on you, do it again, I'll never be back
