No, they updated the model a few years ago. It has an improved solid link bracelet, new clasp (albeit with no Easylink), new dials, and it now has chronometer certification

Here is my recent vintage Rolex Reference 114200 Air-King with the Blue 3-6-9 Quarter Arabic dial. I addition to the upgrades mentioned by The GMT Master, the newer model also has a heavier case with wider lugs.
I don't know if this qualifies as a "supercase", but it gives this 34.5mm watch a bigger, more modern presence. The Air-King has been in continuous production longer than any other Rolex model.

Just bought a new random serial Air King 3 weeks ago, so Rolex is definitely still producing them. They are classic Rolex made simple and elegant.

Another change was a slightly shorter minute hand.

Well, if we're talking about the latest Air King and the last generation Explorer, there are quite a few differences. The Explorer was slightly larger at 36mm, had a hollow link bracelet with old-style sports clasp, and, of course, was only available with one dial. Both use the cal. 3130 non-date movement. If anything, the difference is much harder to tell between the Air King and the new 36mm Oyster Perpetual, the model I think was responsible for killing off the 36mm Explorer. The only difference between the Air King and OP is the slight size difference and some different dial options.

Cheers

Chris

I have recently looked for one and was able to get a discount on EVERYTHING except the "Sports Models"....

I ended buying from a TRUSTED Seller and got a F series with all box and papers LNIB for under $2300. WHY would I buy new? The wife could not care less!

Yes, the new case makes the watch wear much, much bigger.

I have to ask how you determine that your watch is within 1/4 of a second / 24 hours..? I have never read that before.
