TRF Banned Members Bridge...

Just this side of heaven is a place called TRF (Banned members) Bridge.

When a TRFer is banned, that person goes to TRF Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. They take turns reading all the threads that have been deleted and posts that were edited out.

All the banned members who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our old threads and times gone by.
The banned members are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of the banned TRFer, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross TRF Bridge together....

Sigh..... This poem always makes me cry...

Paul, you can be with them too, if you just put the bottle to your mouth and pull the trigger.

I've been to the other side and it ain't nothing like that.

It's cold and dark and silent.

After a while, hallucinations and delusions begin to invade reality until what is real and imagined become inseparable.

Oh, wait a minute!

Now, I remember.

That's when the green fields and the bridge appear along with all the other delusional cast-outs.

Every time I read that I just imagine Archie with his 'extravagant' collection, trolling under the bridge, cursing the sunshine and happiness.

I thought Archie was great for laughs. It's not often you find someone who posts an inventory of his worldly possessions and consistantly refers to himself in the third person. He reminded me of George Castanza.
