It's back from the SPA!! - Tudor Snowflake 9411/0
This is the beauty I scooped for a mear $800 back in June! It was running quite slow, so, I only had my hands on it for a few hrs. Now she's back and looking WONDERFUL! I asked the watchmaker to polish the crystal, clean the movement and perhaps a ultra light polish of the case (but not to touch the lugs). And here she is! I gotta say.. The dial on these Snowflakes is to die for! Really loving the patina from this mid 70's beauty.

Do you have any idea how nice this example is? While he hands don't match, the dial is strong and original. The case has the bevels. The back Is very clean. Clearly this was a great find for 30pct of fair value. What did you do with the band?

I still have the original bracelet.. It's in pretty rough shape, but, my watchmaker said he can make it like new .. I'm going to drop it with him in a few days. I'm pretty sure the hands are original. The last owner of the watch had it for around 15-20 years. Wore it for 5-10 then left it in a drawer for the last 10. My watchmaker seems to think it's all original and he's a top notch Rolex guy. You are correct, this is a great example

jaime, PM me your email address and i will send you a pic of the snowflake i bought last month. mine's a little older and also has similar brighter hands. this doesnt bother me at all. your dial is just awesome; it looks old with a few imperfections, but apppears to have been dry and well kept. my dial is 10 times more bubbled. i paid more than twice what you did and have no bracelet. wear it in the best of health. harry in montreal

That is a lovely watch! Congrats on getting a great deal and then having the foresight (and patience) to send it away for service.

A local master watchmaker here in Edmonton. He takes forever, but, he is really good and trustworthy. Also, once you get to know him, he pulls out all sorts of amazing vintage watches to share :)
