A nice Rolex quote

"Like a genial hotelier, Rolex has introduced me to some of the nicest people.
I ask about their Rolex and they ask about mine. It's as marvelous a conversation piece as it is a timepiece."
Maurice Chevalier (1964)

Thanks for posting that one! Nice quote, and

it gave me the chance to say "Chevalier" and "Rolex" a few times with a bad French accent.

Very true, I have had some great conversations with a number of different people because of this very thing.

It seems that buying a Rolex is often a major milestone for a lot of people.

I like this. It has been very true for me, most recently with the owner of my local gelatto store.
