This guy is a local genius...check it out

I live on a small town called Rothesay on the Isle of Bute which is on the west coast of Scotland. Population is 7000 and the nearest city is Glasgow which is a 40 minute ferry journey and a 40 minute car ride along the M8. Rothesay has the usual smattering of small family run shops like the butchers, bakers etc......But we are lucky to have a fantastic horologist by the name of Michael Swift who in my book is a genius at his trade. He was in a made for TV documentary recently - check it out......The only downside is that Mike refuses to work on Rolex or Tudor due to the lack of parts available - bummer!!

Does anyone else have access to such a great watchmaker like Mike?

Thanks for that. What a lovely guy and in a somewhat remote, but lovely place too. Now I wished I had included it in some of the other islands I visited on my Westeross focussed holiday.
