**Help Required** College Report
Hello guys,
I am writing a short formal report for college and have chosen Rolex SA as my topic of choice. As part of my "research" I am looking for a genuine insight into the mind of Rolex's customer base and what better place to find it I am looking for an insight into what you guys like and dont like about Rolex, what you wished you seen more/less of, your favorite/least favorite thing about Rolex and what attracts you to the brand. Please leave as many responses as you wish, and try to keep em short and sweet if possible! Thanks in advance! SP. |

we don't like price increases...
but on the other hand, we understand how the price increases help to increase the price of our watches.. some like classic.. some like newer models.. some are brave to put a nato strap other only metal... around 90% of the Submariner owners never go beyond the depth of a swimming pool... many are afraid to get a submariner wet... it is a strange Rolex world...

Love the idea that one can wear a time keeping device that really hasn't changed much since it's inception.
The fact that an automatic movement is still one of the most complicated mechanical devices on planet earth. Rolex being one of the pioneers and champions of old school timekeeping....even after the invention of the digital/quartz movement. Rolex has kept it's brand true for decades, well made with the goal of being 'perfect', no unnecessary compromises in design or execution....price/cost being no barrier. |

Like: the watches.
Dislike: - the marketing - market manipulation via supply side - arbitrarily withholding certain models in certain geographic areas - the snobbish attitude towards modifying the watches - the AD's - the boutique stores - the fact that everyone you can possibly find on a retail sales level seems to be about as bright as a turnip - the price hikes (minor gripe, not major) - the attitude on the service side - the public perception of the brand |
