strap review:vintage fever

Hi all, I just want to give a review of new gunny strap.

I wanted a vintage feel to my pam112 and i think gunny makes the "best" vintage looking straps.

the leather is very difficult to capture in photo. it looks like a tan strap that has been left in the outdoors for around 20 years, being exposed to sun, wind, dirt, dust. it's faded and looks somewhat beige but it also looks brown and fleshy. it is a very strange color.

as usual it's very soft and hugs the wrist just right. of course it had to be customized. i chose to make it less thick and chunky but extra long and pointed. since i barely use my OEM strap anymore i decided to use the oem buckle with the new strap (24/22 width) this gave a more elegant look.

the stitching is also very pale which blends with the faded leather. but with crooked stitching the strap moves around when not used.

i will try to take better pics next time.

really like the color and look of that strap. thanks.

question: is the angled stitching of the box on purpose? is that to give it more of a vintage look?

Yes. it looks really cool. strap makers must have been in a hurry in the 1800s-1900s

he color changes with the light. when its dark it becomes brown but when there's light it becomes faded.
