Icon10 Opinions and a short story

Honest opinions.

I have been looking at the Big Pilot for quite some time now. I have been torn between the Daytona, the new Expy and the Big Pilot.

I decided to invest some money for my daughters' future, so it might have to wait until November.

But what is the general opinion about the Big Pilot? I see it as an important watch to own based on the understated dial and accentuated crown. I think this might be the perfect watch. I had the opportunity to try one on at Tourenou (not sure of the spelling). The lady was very nice and allowed me try on a few watches.

Side story, the one I tried on had two nasty dings on the case. I asked (for Ss and giggles) what the discount would be. She said "oh this is a Big Pilot. We don't discount". I asked her if this particular watch was used because it was dinged. To her surprise, she tried rubbing it out. I laughed and said, its not dirty its dinged. She went to the manager and he offered 10% off!

I literally laughed out loud. I thanked her for her help and thanked her for being polite and not pushy but that I had a place where I can do better than that on a BNIB. She warned me about all the fakes on the internet. I answered:

"Where I'll be buying, I'll take my chances".

The BP is a great watch, and if I had a big enough wrist I would already own one. The EXPII42 would also come in at second imo.

If you can pull it off then it's a great watch.
