Post-WWI Waltham in Sterling Silver Case Crafted by A.L. Dennison
Cased in England in 1921 Excellent Condition Superb Movement! For sale is this 90 year-old Waltham cased in England by the renowned A.L. Dennison. The case is all Sterling silver (0.925) and properly hallmarked for: …Sterling silver …Birmingham, England …1921 The 36mm case is in excellent condition, showing only normal wear typical of a carefully worn watch of this age. The bezel ring has a coin edge surface, partially worn down, as seen in the photos. The sterling silver wire lugs are in very good condition, and hold a 25mm black leather Bund strap in very good condition. The 15-jewel Waltham movement was made in Waltham, Massachusetts in 1918. It is “buttery smooth,” setting and winding with ease, and keeping accurate time. The original porcelain dial is in excellent condition, showing no signs of cracking or discoloration. The painted Roman numerals, minutes and seconds chapters, and Waltham name are all in excellent condition. The original blued poires pera hands are in good condition, showing some signs of oxidation.
