My first Rolex...for the 3rd time!

Hi, everyone. It looks like I've FINALLY nailed down my first Rolex. My first attempt, an Air-King, ended up feeling a little small on me, so I sent it back. I was surprised that the 2mm made such a difference on my wrist. My second attempt, a DJ 16200, fit well, but there was a scratch on the dial, and the lugs seemed over-polished, so I sent it back, too. Here they are:

Well, I decided to spend a little more on a later model F serial 16200, and it is basically mint, outside of a little scratch on the crown side of the case. The SS 16200 with the silverstick/roman numeral track dial in silver is my particular favorite, and I'm glad I finally got one that worked out. Cheers!

Thanks, I'll work on it. I do have a better camera setup that I can use, but I've got family in town right now, so it'll be a bit before I can get around to posting better pics.

Well done! The 16200 is a great watch, and I agree on the size issue when comparing it to the AK (or Date). I just recently added a Datejust with silver dial. It is a beautiful watch!

Best,

A

Thanks! I saw your NOS 16200. Gorgeous! Mine isn't quite NOS, but it is a tiny scratch away from looking brand new.
