Will a Maratac Zula strap fit on a 16610 Sub?

I like Maratac's Zulu straps but they're thicker than most. Does anyone know if there is enough room between a 16610's spring bar and case to insert the strap? Thanks very much!

Dan2010 conducted a contest on TRF not to long ago and gave away a Maratac Zulu. I won the contest and I wear it on my 1680 Sub without issue. I would think you would be Ok.

It's fine. Just make sure you get a 20mm strap to fit the lugs.
They come in different sizes (widths). You need a 20 mm for the Sub.

Thanks for the replies. I'll order a couple of Zulus with confidence. My concern was that the 16610 has a narrower space between spring bar and case than earlier Subs, but I suspect it will be fine.

Thanks for all the replies, especially the last with pictures.

I purchased a few Zulu straps since my original post and I can say now that Zulus are a bit too thick to fit easily between the case and springbar of a 16610. They can be forced through but the better way would be to remove at least one end of the springbar, thread the strap, then re-attach the spring bar. Better to go with a slightly thinner strap, such as a Maratac or Timefactors NATO. These both fit this particular watch more easily.

These straps have to "break in," they're a littl stiff outta the gate...

Some folks who have a bit of trouble sliding the thicker ones through the gap have also gone to curved springbars with the Zulu's and NATO's.
