Looks like a radial dial 1675, guards ground flush, refitted crown. I know that's not the likely explanation but that's what it reminds me off. The case does look slimmer like the 6542
|

yeah but service cases could have been made or issued for many serial numbers in my view, so i would like to know the model number on the case

I know Josh Bonifas @ Fourtane & he is a real honest & well respected dealer. I think the 6542 in question has a service case, dial, hands, etc. from the 1980's.

If I had to guess I'd opt for a 6542 with a service dial. These dials were made/used in the 80's though to my knowledge they are somewhat rare.
Another indicator to me is the use of a large 24 hr. hand as perhaps the hand set was changed at service along with the dial. |

Maybe it was a japan only or something similar ala the green turn-o-graph's? That said, the inventory at fourtane is super drool - the milgauss and commando are very unique compared to the so called "rare" stuff I've seen lately. |
