Gunny Strap now on my 5513

Hi All!
A few weeks ago I sought your advice to buy a black or brown hand made vintage leather nato from Peter Gunny. Of course you said BOTH!!!
I went for black - and after 3 days of wear:
It's nice to give the 93150 a rest and have a different look - it feels like a different watch without spending for one.
Peter Gunny is quality, easy to deal with and fast (about 2.5 weeks). I would buy from him again. I paid $75 + an extra $20 for priority shipping to the US. I may try a cheaper alternative for my next strap - but I am pleased with the quality and my experience with Gunny.

This is new leather, conditioned to look vintage - he pulled it off.
I did not want "left over tail" folded at the end - so I asked him to make it with just enough "tail" to fit under the 12:00 keeper - he did well!
Hardware is brushed and matches well with the case.
I wanted a thin, hi quality leather to reduce bulkiness - it is about 1.8 mm thick and feels great on my wrist.
Only issues (not significant but worth pointing out) are the double strap under the caseback makes the watch sit a little high and wide on the wrist - and if you have a superdome - the overall look is higher - but having a superdome is a good problem to have

I am glad I went with the black and would do business with Gunny again. I will consider brown for my next nato.
Have a great football Sunday!
Russ

Thanks for the report on the Gunny Strap. The distressed black/grey looks great. I can't wait to see what the brown looks like.

Passing on the Sinn John. He is referring to a very interesting Sinn for sale (ending today) - 40 pieces were issued to to the GSG9 German Anti Terrorist unit. I thought about it hard. Interesting opportunity here to own a watch with 8 years of GSG9 training and ops history.
