FS: Rolex Submariner 5513 "m/f" from 1968 - price adjustment
There are quite a few beat up 5513's out there but here is something you don't see every day - a 1968 'meters first' with a stunning dial! I bought this from a British collector (who kindly let me use his photos)
Dial: a correct 'meters first' which is as near perfect as you are going to get on a watch that is over 40 years old. Beautiful deep cream plots. Hands: near perfect and perfect match. Bezel: lovely faded grey which really sets of the watch Case: excellent condition with nice fat lugs and beautiful beveled edges from the masters at Rolex London. 1.9M serial number which is clearly visible, so is the rest of the numbers. The caseback is correctly stamped IV68. Movement: non-hacking Cal 1520 is keeping good time. Bracelet: a very nice folded 9315 with 380 end pieces with little stretch. It is also surprisingly long, it should fit even a 8" wrist. This really quite a singular piece and a great addition to anyone who has a high quality collection. Priced to sell at $5,900 (USD) + shipping/insurance. I could be interested in a trade towards a modern sport Rolex (even a gold one?), trade value slightly higher. Sincerely, Patrick |
