Looks nicer and cleaner but I prefer the unique look of the GV.

You are not alone. The GV is more unique, but I prefer the cleaner, crisper and more symmetrical black dial with the clear crystal.

IMO -
the white dial is the cleanest out of the 3 116400 variants.

the GV is the most unique out of the 3 116400 variants.

So that leaves the black dial to be the most common looking of the 3 116400 variants.

If it wasn't the look of the green crystal, I wouldn't of bought the Milgauss so no.

I said the same thing to myself when I couldn't find a GV and refused to pay over retail for it.

Until I actually put it on.

The GV has so much personality and I've never received more compliments on any other watch.

Yes I like the black dial.
Clean, easy to read and has the closest resemblance to the Vintage Milgauss 1019 that I seriously want/need/must have

I would have to disagree. I bought all 3 versions, and found the white one to be the cleanest and the GV to be the most unique.

as in, no number ring on the outside of the dial, all the markers are the same color on the black one and there is no clashing of the second hand orange with the GV orange markers.
