Firet rolex datejust ii

I will be receiving my first rolex, it is the bluw arabic dialed rhodium datejust 41mm. I wanted to know any tips. Anything regarding insurance, to daily care and what can i expect regarding my first service. It is used and purchased in 2010. Any great links to teach me more about watches would be great, like the parts and how they work. Thanks!

Definitely get the watch insured. You should be able to insure it through the same company you have homeowners and car insurance through.

As far as daily care I would just run it under warm water with some mild soap once per week, or as needed.

Don't worry about service. >5 years until that will be necessary

Some of the moderators on this forum have pages dedicated to certain details about watchmaking/care/etc.

Congratulations on the purchase!

Great piece, I really like the that face and bezel. It is pretty much the DJ I would buy except for a jubilee bracelet.

Huge congrats. Love that DJII. It'd be the one for me if I were to get a SS DJII..
