Explorer 21470- Movement Stopped

Woke up this morning and my watch stopped. Winded the watch 30 times and it moved for a second and stopped.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Purchased the watch, BNIB on the forum 6 months ago, warranty card is in someone else's name. Any suggestions?

Give it a full 40 crown turns clockwise and a gentle swirl if movement does not start then it could be a main spring or winding stem problem.

Thanks. I thought it might be a winding pinion problem where no matter how many times I wind the watch, the main spring fails respond.

I decided to wear the watch for a few hours to see if the dead watch would kick start... and it did. I just have to keep wearing the watch to keep it moving.

For this type of problem, is it better to send the watch into Rolex and wait or go to an AD with certified watch repair technician?

And what do you base your opinion on? Padi said what the possible problem could be and the OP concurred.

Where in the original post does it indicate to you that the said watch might be fake?
