Rolex now are shipping shorter leather straps
FYI ive been trying to locate a replacement leather strap crocodile for my day date - be aware that new straps shipping from rolex usa and rolex in europe are shipping at least 1 inch shorter for all lengths - these same straps are pictured in the books they keep in the Rolex Service centers which are the correct length - this change means that the clasp will typically appear on the side of your wrist not under as it should be - Ive written to Rolex HQ in Geneva and UK as i believe this is an error - especially when the straps are still pictured in the Service centers booklets at the correct length - as this straps are expensive - several hundred dollars - and ive recieved faulty ones which ive had to return - from both Rolex US and Rolex UK - I thought Id mention to everyone as its taking me ages to find one - I did locate one but only because a Rolex store in London kindly took one - at the correct length off a new watch they had for sale and sold it to me - which was very kind Hope this is helpful.
