Our other brands...

So I'm curious...I'm sure since most of us on here have spent and will continue to spend thousands of dollars on great watches, we probably have other brands that we love. Just curious what some of them might be.

For me, I've got a small list going...I'm sure as life continues the list will too:

Motorcycles: Harley and Aprilia
Woodworking hand tools: Lie-Nielsen
Outdoor clothing, luggage, "Man" accessories: Filson
Whiskey: Love me some Jameson
Watch: Love the Omega brand
Jeans: Levi's
Banned Items: Merkel and Sig (hopefully just listing the brands isn't breaking the rules - no discussion of them)
Crackers: Well, its gotta be a Ritz :)

So what other brands does everyone gravitate towards and not compromise on?

Wes - someday the Aprilia will speak to you and you'll join the other side. :) I actually love the Duc's, too - my buddy is on an 1198 and it's a beast. We swap bikes now and then...someday, maybe...the Ape is 5 years old, time to upgrade. 1199....I don't know.

Good list, guys. Of course my "banned" items were not items that I've banned, simply brands of a certain thing banned by TRF. :)

But, heck yeah, I'd say Pandora bracelets are definately banned in this house!

Hey John, got my license a couple months ago. Got myself an older monster. Loving it. But 620 is enough for me for now.

Nothing wrong with that 620, Wes. Awesome bike and a beautiful machine to learn on - truly the icon of naked bikes. Not to play it down, but in a couple seasons, you'll start to get a rash which will spread like chicken pox and the only way to relieve the itch will be a bigger bike...and that's when it begins. Only two things to remember:
1) Ride your own ride (don't let your riding mates push you faster than your skill)
2) Keep it shiny side UP.

Yeah, should have had Mountain Hardwear on my list...Vasque boots, Osprey packs and MSR tents...backpacking - the other, other hobby...

John, yep the #1 thing trying to remind myself when I get on it is, don't do anything stupid to give everyone a chance to say told you so.
