Super Jubilee Bracelet?
Will the newer style Super Jubilee Bracelet fit on a 1998 A serial 36mm Datejust? I am getting conflicting info.
Thank you |

I have read it here before and I don't think it will fit.
The lug holes are slightly off by mere point something of a mm. Here are pictures to show. Super Jubilee have SEL's. The 99 DJ you have have different end links. |

Where there is a will there is a way. I was determined to fit my 1655 on a Super JB...borrowed some end links from my old JB to affix 580 end pieces (larger springbar for expy/580 required some pounding to get through the narrower jubilee link).
All worked out great. Flush fit, no squeaky sounds, and I love the look.

The Explorer II looks great on Jubilee. Hannes at the German Rolex-forum have taken several beautiful pictures of his 1655 on jubilee. I suggest that you get yourself 550 end links, that are made for the older Jubilee, and will fit your 1655, instead of the current 580 Oyster end links. I also suggest that you try to get a 62510H Jubilee marked "50" on the last link, that will take 2mm thick spring bars.
Also, it seems that you have added the superjubilee clasp only to the bracelet, which can be seen on the last middle link closest to the clasp. It is turned 180 degrees (up side down, with the flat side outwards). Just look at the picture again, and you'll see it. It's an easy fix. All in all, the 1655 looks great on Jubilee, so go get those 550s for a perfect end link fit! Best, A |
