Took at look at a GMT Master II (black on black) today.

Couple of questions.

- Is it normal for the Bezel to not always line up perfectly with the watch face while in the middle of one of the bezel dedents? See picture [URL="http://home1.gte.net/res0ak9f/1rolex.jpg"[/URL]

- Is $4,710 a good price for sealed, new in box, from an AR?

- Is two year warrently standard?

the bezel insert is just that an insert

I have just checked the bezel on my SD. It locates in the centre but I can move it slightly both left and right of centre at least as much as the distance shown in the pix. I don't think it's an issue.

The two year warranty is standard. Rolex USA stipulates it's for the original purchaser only, while everywhere else it's on the watch.

(Potential for a problem).

As Earl said the insert can be adjusted to line up correctly.
Price can depend on your area and relationship with your AD.

As Eddie says, at least the ratching of the SD (and SUB for that matter) is not very precise, resulting in the triangle at twelve not pointing exactly towards the triangle on the dial if you just set it according to the ratching. I for my part have to kind of set it BETWEEN two of the (120 in total) clicks to have it spot on.

The Insert can easily be adjusted to line it up. The AD can probably, or the RSC, or yourself can do this.

2 Year warranty is standard.

$4700 is a decent price. MSRP is $5080 in USA. So anything under that is a discount. Some ADs are giving no discounts on the old model GMT IIs, as they are no longer being produced. At least in Asia, the All Black Bezel insert GMT IIs are very hard to find anymore. Remember no more 16710s being produced.

Right. Get it if you can. It has been discontinued...

It's a great watch with many fans here. You can find a pre-loved GMT for about $3500.00. If NIB is what you want go for it.

That is a good price for a brand new, in the box model..

However, the boxes and the watches are sent separately to the Dealer....If it's just a figure of speech, well enough...but, if the Dealer is implying that the watch has never seen the light of day outside that box - I'd look it over real close..

All black is killer, but I think it looks a lot like the Sub so I prefer a bit of color..

Mine does the same, but since I set the 24 hour hand to UTC, then turn the bezel to my local timezone, it's not a bother for me.

Sorry, I figure this has been covered in another thread, but can you tell me the serial of the jubilee bracelet on your watch? I have a Z series GMT ll, and I'm thinking about a jubblie for my birthday treat. Either that, or I break down and just get a datejust or a milgauss. Argh!

The Rolex Jubilee is PN. 62510H.. It is a hollow endlink so the ends are 503B to fit the GMT 40mm case.

Of course, they're both nice.. I do like the white Milgauss. I don't see the fascination with the green and orange...
