5512 and 5513 selling points
In my short time here at TRF, I've learned quite a bit. I'm now completely fascinated by the earlier Submariners. I have a question about the 5512 and 5513 models. I'm researching the main differences but I'm wondering how the two models were marketed when new. There is certainly now a premium to be paid for a '12 over a '13. Was this the case when the watches were new? How did Rolex present the two different watches to consumers? Visually, they are the same (similar?). Was the only difference the chronometer certification?
Thanks! I spend way to much time here but I'm loving the community. Never before have I learned so much on the Internet! |

You might get more responses to a question of this nature if you were to post it in the vintage portion of the forum.
