Milgauss / GMT II Query !!
Afternoon all !
Newbie here ! After a bit of advice... I currently have a D Serial 16710 S/S GMT II with black bezel. I called my AD in the week, and put my name on the list for the new S/S 116710 - which should be a 2 month wait the have assured me. My first thought was to sell my current GMT, but I've become too attached, so thought I'd keep it but get a Pepsi bezel on it to make it look different to the new addition. The arrogant cow in my AD said that Rolex won't change bezels on sports models ?? I've heard of people changing dials/bezels befoe so any advice appreciated ?? She also told me that the wait list for a Milgauss is now closed !? Do any of you from Uk know when launch is, and info on availability ? Will black or white face be more popular ? Got the feeling that she didn't like a 28 year old buying Rolex.. But there... Regards to one & all.. Dan |

Judging by this forum, the black face will be most popular with the Milgauss....Well, actually the green glass black face, followed by the black face with the white dead last.
I think I'm going to go for the white..- The most popular models usually end up being the least collectible. I believe your AD is wrong about bezel changes...especially in London and with the GMT. If you could get it done anywhere, that would be the place. |

Hi Dan
My AD has told me the he should be getting the Milgauss in by November, not sure what the wait is going to be like anywhere else but he has orders for all of his supply for quite awhile. I was the first to get my name on his list for the black face / green crystal & can't wait to get my hands on it. Dan |

You know, I think I actually like the White Face version the best! No smudge marks or fingerprints to show.

I have the GMT II and did purchase the "pepsi" bezel additionally from my AD. End of last year (I believe) I purchased it here in the States. The watch came with the black bezel.

Welcome to TRF!
As the others said, Black Face, green glass is the most wanted to judge from various forums, including this one. Also, IF there is going to be ANY current Rolex model that will start a "craze" like for the SS Daytona, the Milgauss will be it

Good for you on keeping the 16710! You won't regret the decision. You AD sounds like she's in the states.LOL! I'm of the understanding inserts are not that hard to come by in the UK.

I can just see the guys at Rolex sitting back and laughing as the tension, expectation and frustration of potential purchasers for the new Milgauss ecselates into a buying frenzy, will it be October, November who knows but DAMN I want one now! (joke).
