78360 clasp code

Hi, thought the guys in the Vintage section will know more.

I just got this bracelet from a dealer. The numbers "78360" and "580" are stamped on first links and end links respectively.

However, the clasp is stamped "VB", "registered swiss made", "steelinox" only, without the number"78360".

From my research, I deduce this is from a 1977 model. However, why wasn't "78360" stamped on the inside of the clasp as well?? Was this intentional?

Is this clasp/bracelet genuine?

Any info will be appreciated.

thanks
