Rolex 1675 insert problem.
Hello.
I got the Rolex 1675 with no insert. Could you tell me what parts I should but to rebuild it? Thank you for help. |

Looks as if you need an entire bezel assembly, which consists of the bezel, bezel insert and the thin metal ring that sits atop the case under the bezel. You could actually take the watch into a Rolex Service Center, tell them the assembly got knocked off and was lost, and have them install a new one. It'll be pricey and won't have the vintage look, but at least you'd have a correct functioning bezel. Then you could always hunt down a cool old faded fat font insert. Good luck!

Welcome charytan ....
Here's a pic of the bits you need ...
Left to right - Tension spring .... bezel ..... insert My pic shows a 5513 bezel - you need a 1675 bezel - they are slightly different. Ray Wu from VRF had some 1675 bezel parts for sale just few days ago. Ray's a good guy - you could try him at ..... [email protected] |

Looks like you have the tension spring? You just need a bezel and an insert.

I'm not so sure Kyle ....
I think in charytan's pic we are looking down on the crystal retaining ring.
I may be wrong on that but if it helps - here's a pic of all the bits laid out. My pic shows a Tudor Sub. Same mix of parts for any vintage sports Rolex or Tudor |

Sorry, that's what I meant, it has the crystal retaining ring. Are the GMTs supposed to have a tension spring? I don't think mine does...

Thank's everyone. |

Finaly I did it.
Firstly, unfortunatelly, I bought insert and tension spring by myself. Being unexperienced, I wasn't aware that it was quite difiicult to find the bezel in reasonable price. After spending a few weeks on searching this part I decide to send the watch to AD. Now it is done. Looks beautiful, although it is not faded. After that, I bought bracelets:7836 and riveted USA. To tell you the truth I prefer 7836. According to datas on forum it is proper to 1675 from 1967. Later I'll send some photos to show you the result. |
