Would a stainless Oyster bracelet work on this?

I'm thinking about getting a good aftermarket stainless bracelet for this:

I don't think the tt jubellie looks good on me. Besides, we don't have enough links for it to fit me (my wife wore it - and yes it's a gents watch).

Today I came home early to go to the doc (see open forum post soon), and put it on a honey brown ostrich strap. Looks really nice, but I want a bracelet for it.

I've had it on this strap, but the ridges are too much. It was all I had at the time.

Whatcha think?

Bruce, I would stick with the strap before swapping the Jubilee for a SS bracelet. I just don't think a TT watch would look right with a SS bracelet. I do think the strap looks really nice. If you can live with the strap, do it.

I do think you're right. Just trying to tone it down a bit.

Bruce,

What about a black gator for it? I think that would look super nice.

Probably would Daren! I have a black calf with gator pattern I could try. The real thing always looks better though.

When it comes to straps, I disagree. There are so many good makers out there, you could get a sweet calf or gator aftermarket and it would look stunning, IMHO.

That's a great looking watch Bruce, if you don't like the ridges just get another honey brown leather strap without the ridges! Don't do the SS on it ;o)

Yes I would agree with my colleagues, that particular strap is more
suited to a heavier watch somthing like a Chrono.Have a look at
Ken Danks range with the deployment clasps.

Bruce - I think a strap is the way to go, but I agree the ridges don't fit (in fact I am not a fan of ribbed straps at all). I think an SS bracelet is going to look strange.......

I agree with JJ here. A SS bracelet on a TT watch doesn't look right. There was a similar used TT DJ at my AD yesterday with a SS oyster bracelet and it looked like crap. Fake, actually, just because the 'fit' was so odd looking.

I agree the strap is the best way to tone it down. I also think the brown tones look better with YG (as opposed to a black strap).

I agree wit Johnny. A brown tone strap would look much better on that particular watch than a black strap. Of course, having said that, I do like the black strap on my TT DJ.

But it's a very different look than your DJ, Bruce.

A SS bracelet would not look good IMO. I personally say try a dark brown strap or black. I personally think alligator would look good on it.

OK, I'm convinced!! LOL, thanks for all the feedback. The watchmaker has a couple of tt jubelie links for me, so I'll go pick 'em up later. At least then I'll have a couple of options for it.

Funny how I always thought this watch was too small for me, but now it seems fine. My wife hasn't worn it for months, since we got the Panerais. I've been suffering from Rollie withdrawals lately, so I figured I may as well wear it!
Cheers,
Bruce

Thank you for noticing, Mike. Daren's right. I get that comment every time someone sees that picture.

Why do I have the strap on backward, you may ask. Simple. So that people will have something to comment on.

Real reason: It was on that way when I got the watch two years ago and I've been too lazy to switch it. And it kind of adds to the vintage character of the watch.
