My application to the Global Assoc. of Retro-Grouch-Curmudgeon and Lug Hole Loyalists

First of all, here is my submission of evidence.

Serial number research suggests it was born the same year that I was. From now on I consider it to be an indisputable fact that it is so.

I do have a few questions about procedure.

1. Do I need to get rid of my modern watches, or can I claim ignorance? I regrettably do have a certain emotional attachment to some of them.

2. Is it of any significance that I bought my 30++ year old watch just a few days ago, and that I did not buy it new and wear it since?

3. I'm afraid I really like solid end-links. Can an exception be made for me?

You are lucky!

For me a birth-year rolex would be outrageously expensive!

Wear yours in good health!

If you get rid of your modern watches you will have more money to get lug holes.

Sell!

Yes, true progress is only achieved through sacrifice and pain.

Had I bought mine the year I was born it would only have been about $500, brand new.

It is a clear and undisputed fact that it was built and sold in 1977, and that all parts are entirely original.

(Although I may have to hand the card back, I must admit I'm following the SKY-DWELLER thread with great interest. Bah, humbug!)
