removing cyclops
Hi.
I am thinking about buying new a GMT II or Sub but the cyclops is really bothering me. As I already have a SD, I really do like the clean look of SD w/o the cyclops. Have anyone tried to remove it or change it to plain sapphire class?

Take a chisel to it. IMO the cyclops is iconic to them and they don't look right without them. Plus you will be happy with the magnification when your eyes get bad.

It's just glued on. There is a tutorial on how to do this on the forum if you do a search. IMO, I'd give a while and see how you feel. I to started with a SD for that exact reason. Now 7 years later the cyclops does not bother me.
