when did they stop

Guys,
When did they stop drilling the holes on the lugs on the rolex? was it 1994...cause i found a watch "president" had a w serial but did not have the lugs drilled...is this right?

P.s. how do you know if its the original diamond bezel.

If it isn't perfect, it isn't Rolex.
Check the diamonds, and their settings, if they're not VVS quality, and their setting is all jacked up, you'll know it's after-market. If you're not sure you can always send it to a RSC, they'll tell you!

About the drilled holes in the lugs, I don't recall ever seeing the "prez" with drilled holes...

Just my .02!

The first cases WITHOUT lugs started appearing in 2002.

I have also NEVER seen a Day-Date that had holes in the lugs.
