Black on black! EXP II

Hi all,

After an excruciating wait the Black EXP II is home on this Sunday. I had been contemplating about this watch for the last 2 months. Earlier it was the white dial which caught my fancy, but the black one smiled back at me at the AD.

It is nice to have a dual timezone watch, and the black dial of the Exp-II is more contrasting IMHO and has better lume too!

The laser etched Rolex logo is also more clearly visible to the naked eye as compared to the white dial - see the picture!

The new features on this one is the rolex wording and the serial number on the inside. Also there is a bar code on the side - this is the first time I have seen it.

The watch has the new credit card style warranty and is EO6 on the clasp, which I figure is June\July 2007 which suits me well

Fantastic watch and it will probably be my daily beater!!!

Congratulations, Jay!

SUPERB looking watch, and I really like it with the black dial

This is the FIRST Explorer II I have seen with the chapter ring branding. Looks nice and subtle

BTW: that "bar" on the case side contains a code that tells Rolex which stock number your watch was in the factory.

Give us a wristshot, please!

Both Black and White Explorers are just really handsome, masculine, powerful looking, classic examples of elegant strength and simplicity. Great watch. I am liking the black one more and more.

Love it. I got one too about two months ago! CC Warranty etc, but no Rolex chapter ring. Don't know if I am dissapointed about that. Looks good though.

Beautiful watches, both black and white (although some of us are biased toward the black).

Congrats!! glad to see more black faced Exp II lovers. I just got a Black Exp II K serial, I love it and can't stop looking at it. I picked it over a Sub because I see less of them around. I think its great for dress with a suit or dressed down with jeans for a night out, (Can't wait for its first night out this weekend) JJ almost sold me on the white dial but I liked the contrast more with the black dial and white markers. In the future I'd like to get a light colored dial Rolex and would love love love a Yachtmaster.

Dy Kid the bar code is a removable sticker and I have not got it off...may it will fall off one of these days

Gerardo will update with clasp images - Changes are the chapter ring branding of "Rolex" and serial number but I dunno if there is any changes in the clasp
