can anyone tell me
anything about this Rolex? I inherited it about 20-25 years ago. At one time, I was informed the bezel is 18 carat, but know nothing about the time piece. Would greatly appreciate any correct information. Thxs.

Looks like a reference 6604 early Datejust cira late 1950's. I believe they came with a caliber 745 movement or a 1065. Some had a roulette date wheel. Since you have the watch head with no bracelet if you look between the lugs above the 12 o'clock position and at the other end you will see some numbers stamped into the case metal. One end will likely be a 4 digit number and that will be the reference or model number. The other end will have more numbers and that will be the serial number. This info will help to give you a more precise answer. You can also google search the reference number and a world of info will open up to you.
