This weekend I looked down and noticed dirt on the date cyclops of my Sub-c, I wiped and wiped but OH NO... Its a scratch. (looks like 2 little nicks)

Any idea if there is a way to buff these? Im sure not.

How much will having one of these replaced by Rolex and how do I even go about doing that if I purchased from a member here?

It's really annoying isn't it??? On one of my watches that has a glass cyclops, there's a scratch! It's real annoying! I put some toothpaste on it, and buffed it with Q-Tip, helped a bit. Try it?

Look at it closely. After a stint in a dunk tank for a chairity I noticed what I thought was a scratch in the cyclops. I could not get it off. Then I realized the cyclops is sapphire.

I got some Windex and a good sharp Swiss Army knife, with the blade perpendicular to the cyclops and "scratched" off whatever it was - paint maybe.

The cyclops is just glued on the crystal. Every easy for a watchmaker to install a new one.

Guys ... I tried to get some pictures of the scratches. Wasnt able to get good one with my cell phone but here they are..

I can't really see the scratches in thosepictures, howeever here are a couple of threads with regards to the use of diamond paste that maybe of some help:

I really don't think you hand hurt anything. Be sure to take of the insert/bezel .

I taped off the watch as well just to be safe. A local jeweler could buff it as well for a lot less than $240.

Try it for $30.00 bucks or go pay a jeweler.
