Water damage or evidence of

This is my Tudor 9411/0 from 1975-76 (799***). I am original owner, have maintained it and still use it. Went to a local jewerly pawn shop to get a basis value on it but the watch repairman wouldn't give me one. He said it has water damage on the face and would be hard to sell.

I had a leak back in the early '80s but immediately had it serviced. I've always maintained it otherwise. What is your opinion on the water damage in the picture and what would you consider its value to be in fair mechanical condition.

Thanks,
Second_Life

Doesn't bother me too much, some of the Snowflakes tended to bubble and flake anyways!

I think I understand the reluctance to value a Tudor-- the values have been all over the place, recently. However, the dial doesn't worry me, too much. I'd be more concerned about the movement. How's it look?

I think that the movement will be a better indicator of the damage. How bad was the "leak" you had? Must had been bad enough to wet the dial? Prices on these seem to be all over the place, but this one looks cool nonetheless. I would say $1500 +/- is in the neighborhood. I looked at one recently that was head only for $1100 that had a slightly better dial.

Kind of normal goosebumps. Well known problem for snowflakes.

Thanks to all replies

Thank you everyone for your replies. You all have been very nice and have helped alot.

I've had this watch as young teenager (way back when) and may consider selling in near future but just could not get proper guidance on value and market interest. Should I want to sell I will give those who asked a reply message.

Thanks again very one,
