The Sub just ruined all the other watches for me...

These two Sub basically ruined all the other watches for me ...

I will be thinking about the them when I wear other watches.

I would stop myself from getting other watches because wearing new watch would less wrist time for the Sub.

I am even considering selling a few of my old favourites because they are on the side line with not much action.

My conclusion here is that don't buy 116610 or 14060M, they would ruin all the other watches for you.

This is a good problem to have. It sounds like those are the only two you need.

A Rolex Submariner is in many ways like a Porsche, "there is no substitute".

Did the exact same thing to me... and it doesn't seem to have gotten any better in almost 2 years of ownership. My other watches just don't really get worn and when I do manage to wear something else, something always nags at me and says "Gee I wish I'd worn my Sub instead..".

I know what you mean, but I've been through these phases before.

One thing's for sure, Rolex will spoil you, period.

What about GMT IIc? I the two would compare. Would you consider it in the same league? what are the pros and cons of each (other than the personal taste, of course)? Thanks.

When it comes to Rolex watches, I always come back to the divers (Sub and SD). I love my Zenith Daytona and my Milgauss but something about the simplicity and subtlety of a Rolex diver wins me over most of the time.

I'll just say this: for 6 months I owned a GMT-IIc. I now own a SubC instead.

Pros and cons other than personal taste? They're both incredible watches, so besides the 24hr-hand, I think it all comes down to personal taste.

The Gildelock clasp on the Sub C's has spoiled me and makes me wish every other Rolex bracelet (save for Super Jubilee and President) came equipped with them.

Thanks for the feedback Dan. This makes sense, although it makes it more difficult to choose between the two great watches!!

I *think* the GMT IIc has a flatter caseback and it may be more comfortable for some wrist.

My Submariner hasn`t come off my wrist since I got it.

I did look at a SeaDweller at a pawn shop the other day but they were asking way too much for it and that has been the only challenge to the Sub so far.
