FS: Rado Original Diastar 300M Automatic Diver

FS: Rado Original Diastar Diver - $799 Shipped

Here’s a super cool Rado Original Diastar automatic diver (Model # R12639163) in an easy overall TZ 95% condition. Watch has been worn sparingly after being purchased brand new by me late last year. An iconic and incredibly durable Swiss automatic that looks like nothing else out there.

The top half of the case is polished tungsten carbide (hard metal in Rado’s parlance) that is virtually scratchproof. The bottom half of the case is stainless steel as is the screwdown caseback. Case diameter is 38.6mm without the crown, 42.6mm crown inclusive. Case is 12.6mm thick. Semi integrated-style lugs are about 24mm wide. Watch is rated at 300 meters water resistance (not guaranteed by me).

Both crowns are polished and signed and both screw down. Crown at 3 is the main timesetting crown with quickset date. Crown at 2 rotates the inner timing bezel. This crown locks down so no worries about a creeping inner bezel.

Flat sapphire crystal. Quickset date @ 3. Dark blue to very slightly blue-purple-indigo inner dial with black outer dial and black and white inner bezel. Black hands with inset lume. White seconds hand. Luminous round markers. Lume quality is good.

Rado rotating anchor located at 6.

Swiss-Made ETA automatic movement keeps very good time. Movement hacks and manual winds. Please note! On a full wind, this watch has a 36-3/4 hour power reserve, which is slightly shorter than a typical 38 to 42 hour ETA power reserve. But in the instructions, Rado says their automatics should have a minimum 36 hour power reserve, so according to them, the watch is operating within specification.

Great quality stainless steel solid link bracelet is polished and brushed with solid end links and signed pushbutton clasp with titanium semi-butterfly deployant. Bracelet is about 24mm at the lugs, tapers to about 18mm at the clasp.

Watch is sold as-is. Includes all bracelet links, inner and outer presentation boxes and instructions. Watch is in the U.S.

Selling for $799 shipped. CONUS sales only. Payment by USPS money order only.

No trades. No international sales or Canadian sales. I DO NOT USE PAYPAL, so please, don’t ask. Serious inquiries only, no time wasters, please! Lowball offers will not be responded to.
